Over 712,000 Americans live in Washington DC right now. They pay taxes just like the rest of us -- but they have no vote in Congress.

That’s unacceptable. I was proud to join my House colleagues in voting to pass long-overdue legislation to make DC statehood a reality.

Republicans are working overtime to deny DC residents -- the majority of whom are Black and Brown -- the representation they deserve because they’re afraid of democracy. We won’t back down -- sign on to demand the Senate pass this critical legislation immediately! [[link removed]]
