Hi John,

I want to share with you that I will be stepping down from my position as Executive Director of the Maine Democratic Party in June.

I have loved my three years at the party, first as Field Director, then as Executive Director. I believe in the party’s values and care for the party’s people. It is one of the great honors of my life that I was trusted with shepherding MDP's work.

In these three years, we have done so much together. We helped elect Janet Mills as the first female Governor in Maine’s history, flipped the second Congressional district for Jared Golden, re-elected Chellie Pingree twice, took control of the Maine State Senate, held our majorities in the State House, and delivered Maine for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. We battled through a pandemic to build the largest and broadest grassroots volunteer network in Maine’s electoral history, breaking fundraising records along the way.

This wasn’t all because of me; this was because of all of you. Together, we have helped make Maine more just, more resilient, and a better place to live.

There’s more work to do, and Maine Dems have a terrific road ahead. We have extraordinary staff, leadership, and committees across the state working day in and day out to make Maine a place where all can thrive, not just those at the top.

Over the coming months, I will be 100% focused on making this a smooth process and ensuring that our communities have all the support needed as I transition out.
