For anyone without ritzy connections, the odds of
getting a case in front of the Supreme Court in 2021 is like
winning the lottery.

This inequitable dynamic is because of a scarcity
of Supreme Court Justices. While the United States traditionally
expanded our highest court when circuit courts expanded, our
Supreme Court has instead been frozen in motion for over a
hundred years. This has resulted in a cottage industry where big
named lawyers can pass through the doors of the court, but
everyone else has the doors slammed in their face.

That’s not how it’s supposed to work, and it’s a
two-tiered system of justice that can’t be ignored. That’s why
I’ve proposed a bill to fix the Supreme Court.

But this won’t be an easy fight. And far-right
special interests are already attacking me for proposing my
legislation.

* Fox News has come out and said it’s, “Impossible
to take Hank Johnson seriously.”

* The largest and most influential gathering of conservatives in
the world, CPAC, has attacked me by name.

* And Mike Huckabee has deliberately spread misinformation about
me, falsely tweeting out to his hundreds of thousands of
followers that I’ve withdrawn from the effort to fix the Supreme
Court.

These attacks are just the
start, John, and I will need grassroots
support to help me keep up this fight. Will you consider pitching
in $15 or $20 so I can get out the truth about our Supreme Court
reform proposal?
