- TX-06 is ready to go blue – Trump won by 12 points in 2016 but only by 3 points in 2020.
- Democrat Jana Lynne Sanchez is polling in first place of all 23 candidates, 3 points higher than the GOP frontrunner.
- The crowded race is likely to go to a runoff, and Sanchez making the runoff ticket depends on Democratic swing voters whose turnout for a special election is up in the air.
This is our first opportunity not only to flip a 147 seat, but it’s also our first chance to flip a seat since the 2020 election – to prove once and for all that Joe Biden’s victory was not an anomaly or a conspiracy, but a benchmark of progressive change moving across the country. Yet so many Democrats are writing this race off.
