[ [link removed] ]Ayanna Pressley

Your support is so powerful in fueling our movement for transformative
justice and equity for all people. As we get closer to the end of the
month (and our end-of-month fundraising deadline), we thought this would
be a perfect time to share what we’ve accomplished together — and what
you’re funding when you make a contribution to Ayanna’s campaign.

[ [link removed] ]This is a long email, so, if you’re short on time, you can make your
first $3
contribution right now.

Here’s what Ayanna has been up to this month:

* Canceling student loan debt: Ayanna is leading the fight for student
debt cancellation, urging President Joe Biden to use executive action
to cancel $50,000 in federal student loan debt. The growing student
debt crisis has exacerbated deeply entrenched racial and economic
inequities. Student loan debt cancellation would have a transformative
impact on Black and brown communities and would be a critical step
toward a just, equitable economic recovery.
* Removing lead from public and subsidized housing: More than 90,000
children living in public housing have lead poisoning. That’s why
Ayanna introduced legislation — in partnership with Rep. Jesús “Chuy”
García — to help ensure that public housing in the Massachusetts 7th,
and nationwide, is safe, healthy, and lead pipe-free, addressing the
injustices that have disproportionately exposed Black, brown, and
low-income communities to worse health outcomes.
* Supporting pregnant people during the COVID-19 pandemic: Last week,
Ayanna introduced the COVID-19 Safe Birthing Act — bold legislation to
advance maternal health justice by addressing the harmful impact of
the pandemic on pregnant people, particularly pregnant people of
color.
* Securing COBRA subsidies for striking workers: Together with Reps. Joe
Courtney, James McGovern, and Katherine Clark, Ayanna stood in
solidarity with workers to secure COBRA subsidies under the American
Rescue Plan, ensuring that workers are able to exercise their right to
organize and engage in collective bargaining. Under new guidance,
striking workers can receive the subsidies they need to keep their
health care coverage during the pandemic.

Ayanna is advocating and
legislating to make bold progress on issues of consequence for all of our
communities — work that wouldn’t be possible without your support. But
right now, we’re behind on where we need to be to reach our goal on April
30th.

[ [link removed] ]If you can, your $3 contribution would go a long way in
helping us meet our $30,000 April fundraising goal to keep Ayanna working
for all of us in Congress. Ayanna doesn’t spend a minute doing call time
or take a cent from corporate PACs, so every contribution makes a big
impact

We’re so grateful to have your support.
