Dear ,
Have you heard the phrase "Get Woke, Go Broke?” More companies are finding that to be true, with a new poll this week showing that 37% percent of Americans are less likely to drink Coca Cola following their recent antics.
Here’s some ways you can help remind Corporate America that Americans simply won’t stand for it.

==============================
On Thursday, Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves (R) signed a bill reforming the state’s parole system. With serious troubles in Mississippi’s prisons and the Biden Administration threatening a federal takeover of the state’s corrections system, the legislation (SB 2795) was supported by supermajorities in the House and Senate. However, Governor Reeves had been non-committal about the legislation, and indeed, vetoed a similar bill last year.
ACU fully engaged in Jackson this legislative session. Numerous op-eds, grass roots messaging, talk radio, and traditional advocacy by the CJR team took place over the last six months. But the most impactful was Chairman Schlapp speaking directly with Gov. Reeves about the importance of fixing Mississippi’s disastrous criminal justice system. Only after that conversation did Gov. Reeves indicate he would sign the bill. This is a huge win for conservative criminal justice reform in general, and for the American Conservative Union in particular.
On Tuesday 4/20, the North Carolina General Assembly introduced 'Dignity for Women who are Incarcerated' ([HB608]([link removed])). ACU helped with drafting legislation, to finding sponsors for the bill, to discussing the issues with sheriffs. A press release was held on Tuesday where Rep. Kristen Baker thanked ACU for the help and encouraged all her colleagues to support this effort. Sheriff Terry Johnson also spoke at the press conference where he spoke on behalf of all the NC sheriffs that the standard of accountability should be raised to address the needs of the pregnant woman and her unborn child. Since the press conference the bill has received 79 cosponsors.
As always, ACU is committed to advancing conservative policies, and we thank you for supporting our efforts.
***Will you [chip in today]([link removed]) to support ACU and CPAC programming?***
In Freedom,
Dan
