On October 2nd, we held our 2020 Gun Safety Forum co-hosted by March For Our Lives.

It was a day filled with tough questions and inspiring answers, and we wanted to share some of the responses we heard from each of the candidates with you:

Pete Buttigieg:
"No child in America should be compelled to write a will because our leaders have failed to protect them from gun violence."

Julian Castro:
"Our teachers should be teaching in the classroom, not serving as a security guard or police officer."

Cory Booker:
"The strongest nation on the planet says to our children...we can't protect you so we're going to teach you how to hide."

Elizabeth Warren:
"One hundred people are likely to die today by gun violence. If 100 people were dying today from a mysterious virus, we'd be all over this."

Joe Biden:
"Thoughts and prayers won't end our gun violence epidemic. We need courage, and we need leadership. It's past time we take on the NRA and pass common-sense gun safety reform."

Beto O'Rourke:
"I'm so moved by the moral compass the young people marching for our lives have been so bravely displaying for all of us. Because of them, we will bring about the change we need to end this epidemic of gun violence."

Amy Klobuchar:
"When we think about this gun issue, we just can't isolate it to the mass shootings. We have to also remember the day-to-day violence."

Andrew Yang:
"You can't help but be touched when you meet a survivor of gun violence."

Kamala Harris:
"This is traumatizing our children who should be opening their minds to the wonders of math, art & science and, instead, half their brain is concerned legitimately about a mass shooter busting through the door."

We hope that hearing directly from these candidates got you fired up to elect a gun safety president in 2020.
