Our state’s leadership is overrun with Republicans at every level. There's almost no major seat in Florida that the GOP isn’t currently in command of. But are these “leaders” representing the people who elected them? Here are the facts:
- More than 75% of Americans support the American Rescue Plan -- but not Marco Rubio and not Rick Scott.
- More than 90% of Americans support common-sense gun safety measures like universal background checks -- but not Marco Rubio and not Rick Scott.
- A clear majority of Florida voters, including lots of Republicans, support the expansion of Medicaid -- but not Marco Rubio and not Rick Scott.
There’s a pattern here: Every time Marco Rubio and Rick Scott have to choose between doing what’s right for their donors and doing what’s right for Florida, they choose their donors. Help us fight back with a grassroots contribution.

To say that Republicans like Rubio and Scott are out of touch with Florida voters is both true and misses the point. Of course they’re out of touch with Florida voters -- they don’t really answer to Florida voters in the first place.
They answer to the lobbies and lobbyists who block gun safety reform, drive up the cost of health care, and obstruct progress in Washington. And if you feel that your voice isn't being heard by Florida's senators, that's why.
