I'm proud to endorse Karen Carter Peterson for Congress in tomorrow’s
special election runoff in Louisiana's 2nd District.

Senator Peterson is an inspiring, progressive leader who would help pave
the way to achieve criminal justice reform, Medicare for All, a Green New
Deal, and much more. But right now, her campaign needs critical resources
in their final hours before Election Day. She needs our

helped pass a Medicaid expansion bill that insured hundreds of thousands
of Louisianans, and she did it despite stiff opposition from the
Republican majority in her state.

Karen is used to the tough fights. And she's a bold, unapologetic
progressive. I have no doubt she will join our shared effort to make our
country work better for all of us — not just the wealthy and
well-connected.

Like all candidates I've endorsed, Sen. Peterson isn’t accepting a penny
from corporate PACs, so her campaign is depending on grassroots support in
the homestretch. Karen is in a strong position to win this race, but we
can’t leave anything to chance.
