You’re receiving this email because you supported my campaign for Congress in Washington’s 6th District last year. With your help, we got tens of thousands of votes, received numerous endorsements and media features, and funded the campaign without a dollar of corporate PAC money. Thank you!

I wanted to check in with a quick update on what I’ve been up to since the election: primarily taking direct action to end homelessness in Tacoma.

A group of us occupied a building that had been empty for 11 years and moved members of a homeless camp into the building so they could have a roof over their heads. Over Christmas, we booked rooms at a hotel for 43 people and paid for the first night, asking the city or county to pay for the remaining nights.

Our ultimate demand is a Community Land Trust, which would keep the land and housing in it available to extremely low-income people forever.
