John,

We’re working hard to push back against voter suppression legislation across the country. I wanted to share updates on legislation introduced in swing states across the country.

But first, I have to ask you something. I am really proud of the work our team is doing this early in the cycle to make sure Democrats have a chance to win in 2022. I’m asking you to chip in $25 to help us continue our work.

In Arizona, the bill that would have purged 125,000 voters from the Permanent Early Vote List died in the Senate. But, the Arizona GOP is in the midst of dragging out an election audit that only serves to promote conspiracy theories and lies about the security of the 2020 election. This isn’t the end of Republicans’ attempt at suppressing the vote in Arizona, it’s only the beginning.

In Ohio, an early draft of a truly disastrous bill would limit drop boxes, implement TWO forms of vote by mail ID, and prohibit providing prepaid postage with absentee ballots. Truly rolling back access after the state saw record turnout in 2020.

Michigan Republicans are trying to sneak a voter suppression measure into a budget bill to block the Secretary of State from proactively mailing absentee ballots applications to voters. This comes after a long history of attacks by President Trump against Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson for her (smart) decision to send mail ballot applications to all eligible voters in 2020.

In Florida, every single Supervisor of Elections -- all 67 of them, came out against GOP-sponsored SB 90 that will limit ballot drop boxes and change the state’s signature match requirements. The state’s own governor, Ron DeSantis, had his ballot rejected in a past election because of a mismatched signature, and election experts have said measures like these disproportionately impact voters who speak English as a second language.

It’s vital that we track and push back against the 361 voter suppression bills introduced just this year. Making sure Democrats can vote in 2022 will require support from people like you right now. We need to get to work now. Can you contribute $25?

Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote-by-mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $39 so consider donating that today to support voting rights: [link removed]
