John,

In just a moment, we're going to ask you to chip in to support Cori's work fighting for meaningful legislation like the Green New Deal, criminal-legal system reform, and much more. [[link removed]] Cori's had a huge week fighting for St. Louis, so before that, let us tell you what Cori's been up to.

First, Cori started the week by introducing a brand new bill with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez — a Green New Deal for Cities, Towns, Counties, States, Tribes, and Territories. This bill would provide local governments with the funding they need to respond to the climate crisis, fight environmental injustice, and create hundreds of thousands of good-paying union jobs in the process.

Then, Cori went on The Reidout with Joy Reid and All In with Chris Hayes to speak about the Derek Chauvin verdict. Cori reminded us all that the verdict was only accountability, not justice and promised to continue her work in Congress to save and legislate in defense of Black lives.

Later, Cori finished out the week by leading a broad coalition of Democrats in delivering a letter to the Senate demanding an end to the Jim Crow filibuster. Nearly 100 House Democrats co-signed the letter because as Cori said, everything — D.C. statehood, voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights, criminal legal and immigration reform, gun violence prevention, worker protections — is at stake when it comes to the filibuster.

Now, here's the ask: Cori's working hard for the people of St. Louis every single day, but she needs to know we have her back! Will you make a donation of $5 or more today to help power Cori's work? [[link removed]]

Look, John, Cori doesn't just talk about making change. Since joining Congress only months ago, she's sponsored or co-sponsored over 90 pieces of legislation.

She's in Congress fighting for working families because she knows what it's like to be waiting for the next paycheck. And she knows that at this moment we can't afford to go small. Our future necessitates big, bold change on everything from climate change to our criminal-legal system.

So please, if you're with Cori in this fight, chip in $5 or anything you can today to support Cori's work in Congress. [[link removed]]

Thank you,

Team Cori
