The Tarrant County Republican Party has been named a finalist for Campaigns & Elections’ prestigious Reed Awards in the category of “Best Online Video on a Shoestring Budget (Republican)”.

“We are excited to be named a Reed Awards finalist. Campaigns & Elections is the go-to resource for political professionals across the country on both sides on the aisle. It truly is an honor to have our work be acknowledged on a national stage,” said Jeremy Bradford, Executive Director for the Tarrant GOP.

The ad that was nominated was a digital video which featured Tarrant GOP Chairman Rick Barnes, Sheriff Bill Waybourn, and County Tax Assessor-Collector Wendy Burgess reminding voters to vote all the way down the ballot. It was written and produced by Bobby Rodriguez, owner of Fort Worth-based Sr3 creative.

“This ad proved to be highly effective as we saw in the numbers following the election last November. Despite President Trump losing Tarrant County by less than one-quarter of one percent, we still won nearly 90% of the ballot including all incumbent congressional and state legislative races as well as judges and county-wide offices. Historically, local candidates are dependent on the presidential candidate’s coattails. We knew that President Trump was going to be very close in Tarrant County and we had to do something to get our down-ballot candidates across. This ad was created to address that concern and I have no doubt it was instrumental in our success. Our goal was to keep Tarrant County red and we did just that,” Bradford said.

Winners will be announced on Thursday, May13 and an in-person ceremony is being planned for later in the year.
