Hello John,

We know that, like us, you believe that all of our neighbors deserve a safe, stable, affordable place to live because you understand that homes are the foundation for strong, healthy, equitable communities.

We also know that our current structures and systems aren’t giving everyone a fair shot, offering equal opportunity, or creating equitable outcomes. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

NPH is uniting with partners and allies from across the Bay Area -- and beyond -- for the upcoming Affordable Housing Month to engage our communities in conversation around what it truly means to be pro-housing.

We understand that lawmakers and community members alike can feel overwhelmed with a multitude of challenges at the same time -- housing justice, racial justice, public health, the economy, school reopening, and more. It’s up to us to show them that these are not disparate, competing issues; they are connected. And that housing is at the foundation.

And as we grow power, we can show lawmakers that this isn’t just a top issue for their constituents, it’s the foundational issue for our region’s ability to thrive.

Help us build power. Join us in May for Affordable Housing Month, as advocates from all over the Bay Area and beyond offer new, creative ways to safely join together to engage with our communities, foster conversation and understanding, and create progress for safe, stable, affordable homes.

  • Check out and participate in events online and in your area. Interactive, virtual events include panels, discussions, art shows, film screenings, and more. View the event calendar.

This Affordable Housing Month, join us as we work to make sure that all our neighbors -- Black and White, Latinx and Asian, Native and newcomer --  have a safe, stable place to live.
