Governor Ducey took action this week on the border crisis by deploying the Arizona National Guard to the U.S./Mexico border to support local and federal law enforcement. The Governor also issued an Executive Order to bar local governments from requiring Arizonans to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status to receive services. See this and other stories:
Governor Ducey Deploys Arizona National Guard To Border
Under the leadership of the newly appointed Adjutant General and Director of the Arizona Department of Emergency and Military Affairs Brigadier General Kerry L. Muehlenbeck, up to 250 Guardsmen will go to border communities and will be available to support other law enforcement agencies, like state troopers.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey (R) has declared a state of emergency and is sending 250 National Guard troops to support local law enforcement at the border with Mexico.

Governor Ducey Bans Vaccine Passports
Governor Ducey this week issued an Executive Order banning "vaccine passports" and preventing state and local governments from requiring Arizonans to provide their COVID-19 vaccination status to receive service or enter an area.
Governor Ducey Acts On COVID-19 Measures In Schools
In alignment with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance, Governor Ducey and the Arizona Department of Health Services this week rescinded orders that direct K-12 schools to require masks.
