Those big transport trucks you see going down the highway with farm animals packed tight inside? It’s HORRIFYING what’s happening in there!

Pigs bruised and broken. Chicks trampled and suffocated. Cows so cramped that more than 29,000 die in transport each year.

It’s been going on far too long. The current regulations for animal safety are far too weak, and they’re not even being enforced!

See, we’ve been lucky enough to rescue two of the innocent victims of animal transport. But this is just the start. We also need to push the government to END THESE HORRORS.

“In the summertime, when it’s 90, 95 degrees, they’re transporting cattle from 1,200 to 1,500 miles away on a trailer, 40 to 45 head crammed in there . . . [In the wintertime], can you imagine if you were in the back of a trailer that’s open and the windchill factor is minus 50 degrees, and that trailer is going 50 to 60 miles an hour?"

I can’t even imagine the stress and pain these animals feel.

Animals that are sometimes just a few weeks old are forcibly loaded into pens and up on trucks. They are packed together so tight they get bruised and scratched and their legs get broken. Sometimes they die of heart failure on the way!

The ones that live may be trampled … dehydrated … or even suffer sunburn, heatstroke or frostbite on trucks with NO PROTECTION from the elements.

And these aren’t short trips. They may be on the road for up to 28 consecutive hours. No food, no water, no rest.

THIS IS TORTURE. And it’s one reason there are now several bills in Congress that would reform animal transport laws for at least some measure of decency!
