Folks, can I explain something?

I was never “cool” growing up. I was the skinny kid with Coke-bottle glasses and a funny last name. For years, I was a geologist. Then, I got laid off and opened a brewpub in downtown Denver. I play the banjo. And I like to make corny jokes (personally, I think they’re hilarious).

It’s clear I’m not your typical politician. I wandered into politics because I believed I could make a difference. I was sick and tired of special interests taking advantage of everyday Americans, so I decided to do something about it.

Because of that, we do things a little differently around here. We refuse donations from corporate PACs. And instead of relying on wealthy billionaires to fund our campaign, we depend on hard-working folks like you to power everything we do.

So, I’m personally asking you to make a donation of anything you can afford to help us reach our critical end-of-month fundraising goal next week. The only way we’ll catch up in time is with your grassroots support:

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thanks for your support. It means so much.
