Hi,

On the campaign trail, President Biden promised to re-enter the Paris
Accord and restore the Iran deal. On Day 1, he brought the US back into
the Paris Accord. But on the Iran Deal, the Biden administration is
stalling.

So much so, that Jared Kushner is cheering Biden’s stance on Iran.^1 When
Jared Kushner thinks Biden’s foreign policy moves are a good idea, it’s
time for the Biden administration to change course and recommit to Obama’s
peace deal.

The Iran Nuclear deal was one of Barack Obama’s biggest foreign policy
achievements. It would have ushered in a new era of diplomacy in the
Middle East. But instead, Trump reneged on the deal and pulled the US out,
risking a new war in the region.

The Biden administration could restore the Iran deal with the stroke of a
pen. But for some reason, they aren’t just stalling but doing the
diplomatic version of pounding their chest.

Foreign policy and the Middle East are complicated, but a restoring the
Iran deal will make a tense situation much calmer. With cooler heads on
each side, the US can right Trump’s wrongs and forge more peaceful
solutions instead of more endless wars.
