When bees come into contact with neonic pesticides — such as by feeding on the pollen and nectar of a treated plant — dreadful things often happen: weakened navigation, uncontrollable twitching, paralysis, and eventually, death.

America has lost thirty percent or more of honeybee colonies each year for the past seven years, in large part due to this neonic pesticide bombardment.

Instead of protecting bees, Trump's EPA is helping giant agrichemical companies unleash even more of these deadly neonic products. But NRDC is fighting back hard to defend bees — both in and out of court — and we could really use your help.

Today is the last day to make an emergency donation to our campaign so that we have the resources we need to prevail over Trump's EPA, protect our bees, and defend our environment in the most effective way possible. All gifts will be MATCHED up to $50K!

The United Nations has issued a warning: about three-quarters of the world's food crops rely, in part, on pollination by insects and other animals, so we can't afford to lose any more pollinators. But pollinating bees in America are spiraling downward, lost in a haze of toxic neonic chemicals that can debilitate and kill them.

That's not all: neonic residues are found in our honey, some of our fresh fruits and vegetables, and even baby food. Government-supported research suggests that exposure to this harmful bee-killing pesticide could also be harmful to our own health.

The EPA should be working to protect pollinators and people. But the Trump administration is not about to let our health — or the survival of pollinators — get in the way of its rush to protect the profits of agrichemical giants like Bayer-Monsanto. So NRDC is taking the EPA to court and we need your strong support:
