Friend,
As you probably could
have guessed, I am not a frequent viewer of Tucker Carlson -- I’m
surrounded by enough people who espouse his toxic ideas on the House
floor. So when I learned yesterday that a Tweet of mine got so deep
under his skin that it provoked a manic breakdown live on air, I was
intrigued to say the least.
My Tweet criticized Rep. Scott Perry,
who was advocating Tucker's replacement theory that immigrants are a
threat to native-born Americans. That theory is hogwash. Native-born
Americans like Rep. Perry are no more American, and no less American,
than an immigrant like me.
I can see why Tucker and Representatives like Scott Perry
would rather blame immigration for Republicans' defeat last election,
because it’s easier than admitting that following the whims of Trump
just isn’t a winning electoral strategy.
But since Tucker Carlson and many of his
viewers haven’t been living in reality for a long time, he attacked
me. First, he mocked my intelligence. Then, he sneered at my bringing
up Rep. Perry’s invocation of replacement theory during a committee
hearing, an ugly idea that Tucker himself espoused on his show.
Finally, like the class act he is, Tucker called me a
moron.
I
know all about bullies like Tucker Carlson -- and I know it would
really drive him crazy if his tirade ended up helping our campaign.
Will you donate $500, $250, or $100 today and help show Tucker who the
real moron is?
Best, Ted
