We need to face the facts: Right-wing militias are actively infiltrating and collaborating with law enforcement around the country.
This may seem like a conspiracy theory, but don't take it from us. Here's one of the leaders of the Oath Keepers, a far-right armed militia group spread throughout the US:
"Our guys are very experienced. We have active-duty law enforcement in our organization that are helping to train us. We can blend in with our law enforcement -- in fact, in a lot of cases, our training is much more advanced because of our military backgrounds." -- Jim Arroyo, Oath Keepers militia leader
We've already seen what the Oath Keepers are capable of -- their heavily armed and well-organized members played a central role in the US Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6. They've also found allies in Donald Trump and his loyalists in Congress.
The Oath Keepers have blood on their hands. And right now, they have allies in Congress. We need leaders in office who will stop them before they hurt anyone else. We need to elect progressive Democrats who will root out their influence in our law enforcement community and put an end to the generous treatment these groups have received from our government.
