I have good news and bad news -- I’ll start with the good news:

*
Yesterday,
I
joined
the
House
in
passing
a
bill
that
would
make
Washington,
D.C.
our
country’s
51st
state
,
granting
long
overdue
equal
representation
to
the
over
712,000
Americans
who
live
in
D.C.
The
bill
is
now
in
the
Senate.
*
*
We’re
continuing
to
see
the
positive
impact
of
the
American
Rescue
Plan
across
Maryland
.
It’s
bolstering
COVID-19
testing
and
vaccines,
providing
critical
resources
for
small
businesses,
keeping
families
in
their
homes,
preventing
food
insecurity,
and
giving
schools
the
resources
to
safely
reopen.

Our Democratic House Majority is making great strides and advancing meaningful progress. We can’t afford to lose any ground. The end-of-month deadline is one week from today -- if you can, will you chip in a few dollars before you log off for the weekend? [[link removed]]

But here’s the bad news:

*
National
Republicans
raised
a
record-breaking
$17
MILLION
last
month
,
bringing
in
over
$44
million
during
the
first
quarter
of
the
year.
*
*
GOP
extremists
who
supported
challenges
to
President
Biden’s
legitimate
electoral
victory
last
year
saw
the
biggest
boost
to
their
fundraising
numbers
.
Some
even
raised
upwards
of
$3
million
following
the
January
6th
insurrection
at
the
Capitol.

Washington Republicans are fighting tooth and nail -- and fundraising hand over fist -- in order to take back the House Majority and undo the progress we’re building in Washington.

But it isn’t a done deal. We can stop them -- one small-dollar contribution at a time. If you can, please chip in before the end-of-month deadline. [[link removed]]
