Happy Earth Day, John!

Today and tomorrow, leaders from across the world are meeting (virtually) at President Biden's Climate Summit to strategize and implement efforts to tackle the climate crisis. I can't think of a better way to celebrate our planet than by coming together to protect it for our future generations.

As you already know by now, protecting and preserving our environment is one of my top priorities. It's why I'm committed to combating climate change and proud to serve as co-chair of the Bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus.

Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of so many dedicated scientists and activists, we lost four critical years in the fight against climate change due to the policies of the former president. Thankfully, President Biden is working hard to reverse the previous administration's anti-environmental policy and get us back on track.

This climate summit is a powerful opportunity to create meaningful change and ensure the world's largest economies are committed to tackling climate change. Today and tomorrow world leaders will make announcements, pledge to take action, and plan the next steps for their country and our global community.

We'll also hear from President Biden during this summit as he discusses what our country has accomplished this year to protect and preserve our environment. That list is long: under his leadership, we've pledged to tackle the climate crisis, restored scientific integrity to the Federal Government, rejoined the Paris Climate Agreement, and proposed the American Jobs Plan, which includes several climate initiatives I've worked on in the Senate.

I am proud to work in partnership with the Biden Administration to combat climate change. I think we are making great progress, but I want to hear how you think we should be addressing this crisis.
