Pres. Biden met with AAPI Congressional Leaders in the White House Hello John, Last week, President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris met with me and other leaders of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus. In the President's opening remarks, he stated, "We have to stand with the AAPI community... When I came in office, the first bill I signed was related to racial equity throughout the government. That's still the plan, that's my objective." We discussed a range of topics like the American Jobs Plan and the importance improving our neglected infrastructure. This administration is already historic in its diversity, but we talked about increasing top-level AAPI appointments to better reflect our population. We continued the discussion on combatting anti-Asian hate, fixing our broken immigration system to reunite families and prioritizing data disaggregation and language access so that policies better serve the true diversity of the AAPI community. It is so refreshing to work with a president who is seeking input from diverse voices to craft policies to lift all our communities. With your support, I will be able to continue to work with this administration beyond my next election. If you can, please click here to contribute to my re-election campaign. Together, I know we can truly make a difference! In friendship, Judy Chu PS- To get more updates, follow me on Twitter @JudyChuCampaign and on Facebook.
