Hello John,

May is Affordable Housing Month which means there are a ton of networking and training opportunities during the month. NPH and ELPN are hosting some exciting events and workshops.

Check out the latest offerings below:

How Going Virtual Empowered Services!

When: Thursday, May 13 (2 - 5pm PDT)

Description: COVID provided an opportunity to explore and expand how we engaged with residents and how we offered services as we shifted from in-person to virtual programming. This workshop will highlight the benefits of virtual program offerings, explore how we can develop an action plan that supports creating ecosystems of belonging where all are seen, heard, and empowered to take action in a virtual or in-person setting.

Note: this workshop is specifically designed for on-site staff who provided virtual programming for residents.

Exclusive Virtual Tour: Coliseum Place

When: Friday, May 21 (1 - 3pm PDT)

Description: How do buildings evolve during construction? How can I shepherd our team's intent all the way through to a completed building? Join ELPN and David Baker Architects for a virtual tour of Resources for Community Development's Coliseum Place to get your questions answered.  We will introduce the project, including it's core goals of providing deep affordability and sustainability in East Oakland; and we'll offer a chance to "look under the hood" at what constraints, changes and opportunities surface during construction.
