* → D.C. has a larger population than the smallest two states (which
historically, is the benchmark for considering a new state)

almost any state; that means the lack of representation falls
disproportionately on their shoulders

D.C. statehood isn’t about adding two likely Democratic Senators or a
member of the House to Congress — It’s about recognizing the civil and

D.C. their home.
