Hello,

How many mass shootings do we need to witness before politicians beholden to the NRA will finally take action?

These shootings happen so frequently that they almost seem like a fact of life to many Americans.

But there's nothing routine about mass shootings. There's nothing normal about finding out that a loved one -- a spouse, a child, a parent, or a friend -- will never come home again because someone acquired a gun and used it to commit mass murder.

The recent shooting in Indianapolis was horrifying. So was the shooting in Boulder before it, the shootings in Atlanta before that, and every mass shooting that came before.

Over and over again, we've had the opportunity to intervene. Just weeks ago, the House passed two gun bills that would take action to stop mass shootings, including a bill to require universal background checks for all gun sales and transfers.

I'm ready to vote for these bills, but in order to finally make them law, we need to either change the filibuster or convince at least 10 of my Republican colleagues to join me.

Will you join me in asking Senate Republicans to vote for commonsense gun reform immediately? Add your name and demand action to prevent future mass shootings.

We can't allow this cycle to continue. It's up to all of us to demand action before it's too late.

Thank you for doing your part,

Bob
