Building a Movement to End Hunger:

Derek Felton is Ready for the RACE!

Derek is ready for 25th Annual Race Against Hunger in his #RAH25 t-shirt. Below he shares his favorite memory from a past run/walk event, along with why he believes the Race is still so important after 25 years! There are ONLY 2-DAYS left to register for the Race. The deadline is Sunday, April 25th. Join #HungerFighters across the country to support the Coalition's work that connects families to food across the Philadelphia region.

Community Organizer Derek Felton!

Why is the Race Against Hunger still important?

DFThe RAH is just as important today as it was 25 years ago. The need is greater and people still need to understand how widespread this problem is and the impact it has on our lives.

What is your favorite Race Against Hunger memory?

DF:  My favorite memory of a past Race Against Hunger was at Eakins Oval. The energy and the level of excitement from the crowd was unbelievable.

When your new #RAH t-shirt arrives take a selfie and share it on your social media profile(s). Encourage your family and friends to snap a picture and join the #HungerFighter movement. Use #RAH25 when you post!

Once your photo is ready to post, please also answer two questions with your photo:

  • Why is the Race Against Hunger still so important?
  • What is your favorite RAH memory?

Your participation and support will ensure that we raise awareness about hunger in the Philadelphia area and funding for our food pantry/soup kitchen partners who help our neighbors fight hunger everyday!
