I was a part of the Love146 team 11 years ago when Tread on Trafficking began. Some volunteers in Boston had the idea, and we were inspired by the simple concept they had: Everyone do what you love, connect with friends and family, and do it all to help children impacted by trafficking. Over the years, Tread on Trafficking has raised about half-million dollars to fuel work preventing child trafficking and caring for survivors. And beyond running, biking, or swimming, we’ve seen folks paddle boarding, pogo sticking, and even painting.

I'm writing because I would truly love for you to be a part of it this May! You can learn more about this year’s Tread on Trafficking campaign here ([link removed]) . It's the perfect time to sign up: Just choose your goal, and make it your own.

The past year has become infamous for the new challenges it presented and highlighted around the world. For Love146, it's looked like navigating COVID, a volcanic eruption, widespread misinformation, and social injustice — and through it all we've been so grateful for your commitment that's helped us overcome. The past year has been a challenge for me – and I assume for you as well. It feels like a real effort to emerge from that, too. With a deep breath and a bit of excitement, I made my own Tread on Trafficking page last week. I think treading this year will help me find energy, connect with myself and my loved ones, and help others – in short: to feel connected when I’ve felt disconnected in so many ways. My hope is that Tread on Trafficking this spring could be a part of that for you, too, if you need it.
