The Future Leaders Programme is an intensive two-month course that will equip delegates with the competence, arguments and motivation to promote the pro-life vision in the public square. It will impart crucial skills that will enable participants to become proactive, organised and enhance their personal effectiveness as leaders, communicators and activists in the cause of protecting life.

The next course takes place online commencing on Tuesday 4th May 2021, 7-9pm for eight weeks. A day-long studio programme in Dublin and a trip to Leinster House will be included (both of these events will happen at a future date when it is safe to do so).

Sex trafficking survivor pleads with lawmakers not to withhold information on abortion ()
[link removed]

Dr Brook Bello, a survivor of sex trafficking has pleaded with legislators to stop withholding critical information about the abortion procedure from women and parents of minors exposed to sex trafficking and coercive abortion.

Dr Bello shared her testimony recently via video link and called on Illinois lawmakers in the US not to repeal the state’s parental notification requirements whenever a minor is accessing an abortion.

She has first-hand experience of the issue after being trafficked herself as a young teen and forced to have several abortions.

Dr Bello says: “Had my parents been notified, my mother would have known what city I was in. She would have known what street I possibly would have been near. She could have contacted law enforcement.”

The abortions she had as a teen have permanently impacted her gynaecological health, causing her to suffer “miscarriage after miscarriage after miscarriage.”

She finished her testimony to elected representatives with the following appeal: “I ask the public, and I ask the Illinois legislature, ‘why would you want a child to keep something secret that’s going to affect the rest of her life?'” She continued, “I beg of you, I plead, Illinois, to not reverse and to please notify parents.”

Dr Bello founded More Too Life to help other human trafficking survivors and has received the prestigious Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award for her wonderful work.

Litany of Lies Exposed re Late Term Abortions ()
[link removed]

Last week, in a study ([link removed]) published by abortion providing doctors, it was confirmed that these doctors are currently receiving training in Ireland on how to perform gruesome D&E late-term abortions, involving the dismemberment of unborn babies.

When pro-life campaigners warned voters before the 2018 referendum that D&E abortions would be a reality if abortion were introduced, we were accused of scaremongering and attempting to deceive voters.

When former Senator Jim Walsh described D&E abortions in graphic detail in the Seanad and stated that they would happen if the law changed, he was shouted and screamed at by Seanad colleagues who demanded that he withdraw his remarks. The Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists even went so far as to issue a statement in the aftermath of Senator Walsh’s comments, that included the following: “The destructive methods described for second trimester termination of pregnancy are currently not carried out in this jurisdiction, nor will they be in the future.” Like other statements from the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists on abortion, it has not aged well.

As reported in last week’s Vital Signs, it was also confirmed in the past fortnight by the HSE that GPs and other doctors carrying out abortions receive no specialised training in unplanned pregnancy counselling. So just to be clear – doctors are being trained to carry out horrific late-term abortions but receive no training in unplanned pregnancy counselling!

Reality is catching up with the litany of lies from pro-abortion activists that said abortion would be “safe, legal and rare” and that grotesque D&E late-term abortions would never happen. It’s a good thing that the truth is coming out into the light. Those currently calling the shots must be held to account. The insanity of what passes for ‘best practice’ at present cannot continue. We must work even harder to bring about the change that’s needed.
Prominent House of Lords committee denounces imposition of abortion on Northern Ireland ()
[link removed]

A House of Lords committee that closely scrutinises legislative change has strongly criticised the abortion law being imposed on Northern Ireland from Westminster.

The committee has denounced the implementation of Northern Ireland’s new abortion regime as “poor practice” for “using a procedure which prevents discussion before the legislation takes effect”.

The House of Lords Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee (SLSC), has just released its Fifty First Report and it includes special mention of the regulations on abortion in Northern Ireland.

The committee commented that preventing discussion before legislation takes effect “is particularly inappropriate when that policy is likely to be controversial, and the House may wish to ask the Minister to explain that decision”.

There is more opposition to the imposition of abortion on Northern Ireland coming from ordinary members of the House of Commons and House of Lords than from parties based in Northern Ireland like Sinn FĂ©in.

Not only have Sinn FĂ©in refused to challenge the conduct of Boris Johnson’s government on the issue, it’s clear that Sinn FĂ©in supports the move to foist abortion on the people of Northern Ireland. Most Sinn FĂ©in supporters who lean pro-life are still in the dark about the party’s stance and behaviour on the issue in recent months. The media for sure is not informing them but we shouldn’t leave things there. We need to keep spreading the word to family and friends and everyone we know to call time on Sinn FĂ©in trying to play all sides on the issue.
