Last night Trump released a statement about his recent interactions with Rep. Matt Gaetz as reported by CNN. And instead of condemning Gaetz for his actions — Trump used his statement to try and take me out.
The truth is team, Trump and the rest of the GOP have a target on my back. They see me as a threat, and so they continue to use me as a scapegoat to try and shift attention away from their corrupt doings.
I can promise you that I will never give up this fight. So long as I am still leading the charge to hold Trump and the rest of the GOP accountable, they will keep coming after me with lies and dirty tricks.
They know that no matter what, I will continue to expose their hypocrisy, speak truth to power, and — above all else — continue my fight to rid Washington of corruption.
But team, I can’t keep up my fight and stand up to Trump or the GOP’s cheap attacks without help from supporters like you.
