As Montanans, we know the importance of Earth Day. Nature and the great outdoors are intrinsic to our way of life. From hunting to kayaking, to trailblazing, Montanans intimately know the endless bounty and value of nature.

However, with increasing threats to our access to public land in Montana from the GOP and our very own Governor, our way of life is under fire. Voters know how important our public lands are, but it's clear that the GOP doesn’t share our Montanan values.

Will you sign our petition telling the GOP to stop their attack on our public lands and selling to the highest bidder?

Rep. Steve Gunderson, the Representative from an area nestled in an area surrounded by publicly-owned mountains and lakes, introduced a bill proposing highway construction that rips through and devastates the pristine wilderness areas through Glacier and Yellowstone National Park. Endorsing the destruction of some of North America's most beautiful and preserved land directly goes against what we value as Montanans.

We need to stop Gunderson and the GOP and tell them how much we value our public lands.

Will you celebrate Earth Day this year by taking direct action to stop the destruction of our wilderness at the hands of the GOP?

Happy Earth Day,
Montana Democratic Party
