While this sounds like promising news, it doesn’t mean that our work can slow down just yet.
In fact, when headlines like this one come out, it’s a perfect time for us to elevate our work even more. Polls often don’t tell the whole story, and it’s important to note that the Biden administration holds one of the slimmest majorities at just seven seats between Democrats and Republicans.
We can’t take this majority for granted; rather, we must take this opportunity to push even harder to send candidates to Washington who will fight against corruption and for our communities and families.
Our top priority right now is to raise as much money as we can to invest in key early resources that will support as many progressive candidates in midterm elections as possible. Will you chip in $3 or whatever you can to our organization today and help us build our base for the fights ahead, in 2022 or otherwise?
