[[link removed]] John,

Yesterday was a big day in our fight against voter suppression efforts at the Texas Legislature.

Across the state in multiple cities, members of TFN's youth organizing arm, Texas Rising Action , staged public events that included obstacle courses as a visual representation of the unnecessary barriers to the ballot box that would be created by House Bill 6 or Senate Bill 7 , two of the most egregious voter suppression proposals in the country.

That was followed by Texas Rising Action members hosting press conferences in Houston [[link removed]] and on the steps of the Capitol in Austin, where they were joined by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner , members of the House Democractic Caucus , everyday Texans whose right to vote is on the line , and more.

Our fight against voter suppression will continue until the end of the legislative session, but we need your help. Your gift to the Rapid Response Fund will ensure we are able to continue fighting back until the very last day!

We knew going into this legislative session that our voting rights were going to be under attack, but what we are seeing is even worse than what we imagined. We are pulling out all the stops to defend our democracy and our progressive values.

Please consider making a gift to the Rapid Response Fund [[link removed]] to help us continue to strategize, organize, mobilize and defend against the attacks!

In the fight,
