I decided to run for Congress because, as a public school teacher, I couldn't sit back and watch as education funding was being cut, the middle class was shrinking, and many families were struggling to get by.

I pledged to be an advocate for families across the country who need help, for people who’ve felt the sting of discrimination, and for children who deserve more than they're getting from their government.

This makes me a target of Republicans seeking to maintain the status quo. So, for that reason, I need the support of every good Democrat right now.
