[1]Women's March
John, I'm coming to you today to
ask you to [ [link removed] ]contribute $1 a month to power Women's March's organizing
programs for the long haul. That may sound like an unusually small amount,
but please give me a moment to explain why a modest monthly donation to
our movement — even as small as $1 — makes such a crucial difference to
our work.
Something you should know about Women's March is that we don't have large
corporations or sponsors cutting us big checks. Instead, we're funded by
our grassroots supporters chipping in a few small donations at a time.
So when we noticed that our fundraising has slowed down this month, we
started to get a little worried. Especially because so little charitable
giving goes towards women-led, women-focused organizations like ours.
One of the most important factors for the future of our women-led movement
is to be able to plan and budget for upcoming marches, feminist training
programs, and local organizing work. That's where monthly donations play
such a vital role, John. By
pledging to make a monthly recurring donation of any amount, even $1, that
commitment will add up over time, while helping our team strategize to
make sure we can stretch our budget to have the largest possible impact
fighting for our progressive priorities.
$1 per month may not sound like a lot,
John, but for an organization like ours it can
truly make all the difference if enough Women's Marchers decide to take
this pledge.

meaningful to you — to power Women's March's work for the many big fights
ahead?

Even just $1 per month can go a long way in funding our most urgent
priorities. Together in 2021, we've already begun:
* Fighting for bold, comprehensive COVID relief for women and our allies
* Holding the Sedition Caucus like Ted Cruz, Marjorie Taylor Greene,
Josh Hawley, and Lauren Boebert accountable for their actions
* Advocating for our top priorities like defending voting rights,
fighting for racial justice, combating toxic misinformation online,
and organizing for a $15 minimum wage
* Building women to women organizing power and holding feminist
organizing trainings online
* And so, so much more to come
[ [link removed] ]All of this work depends on whether we can plan and budget for future
fights. Please, John: Start a
monthly recurring donation of $1 per month, or anything you can, to power
Women's March's most important programs for the days and months ahead.
Thank you for being such a big part of this work. We won't let up,
Rachel
