Friend,
Happy Earth Day!
I have always been committed to fighting climate change year round. But on Earth Day, I wanted to take a moment to renew my commitment to protecting the Earth.
My commitment to climate activism goes back to high school, when I joined the “Clean Earth Club.” Since then, I’ve been an organic gardener, beekeeper, and an early user of hybrid vehicles.
When I got to Congress, I knew I had a chance to make a difference for our environment. That’s why I signed on to be co-chair of the Climate Change Task Force. And I’m proud that I earned a 96% lifetime score from the League of Conservation Voters.
You don’t need to be a Member of Congress to make a difference. Whether you’re driving a hybrid or electric vehicle, using renewable grocery bags and water bottles or recycling and composting, your small actions can have a big impact.
Will you take a moment today to pledge to take action and help protect the environment this year? [link removed]
Thank you for committing to a greener future.
