Team,
Fifty-one years ago today, the first Earth Day was observed to celebrate the environmental protection movement. For years people have fought for clean air, safe water, and action on climate change to protect our resources.
The Trump Administration spent four years rolling back critical environmental protections that keep us healthy and safe. Luckily President Biden has restored many of these crucial protections and taken some important executive actions on the climate crisis, but we still have work to do to protect our environment.
Our environment should be a priority every day -- not just on Earth Day. We have to address the threat of climate change head-on, protect our air and drinking water, and preserve our natural environment for future generations.
Chris is a proud leader on legislation to protect our drinking water from contamination. Just last week Chris helped introduce the bipartisan PFAS Action Act to help address the harmful impact of PFAS chemical contamination in New Hampshire communities.
It's up to us, on Earth Day and every day, to take action to protect our planet. Will you add your name to call on Congress to make protecting our drinking water and environment a top priority?
Thank you,
Team Pappas
