Justice Democrats

John, last month, EIGHT Senate Democrats voted against raising the minimum wage to $15. Now, we’re learning about the ties some of them have to a big lobbyist against a living wage:

The top lobbyist for the National Restaurant Association recently made big contributions to Kyrsten Sinema and Maggie Hassan, while his spouse serves as a fundraiser for Sinema, Manchin and Hassan

The National Restaurant Association is a fierce opponent to raising the minimum wage to $15. Now, Senators Sinema and Hassan — who voted against raising the wage — are taking big donations from these lobbyists.

We don’t just need more Democrats in Congress. We need better Democrats who will fight for the people. Justice Democrats don’t take a cent from corporate PACs or corporate lobbyists, so you know our candidates represent the people, not corporate interests. Make a $3 contribution today to help us elect even more Justice Democrats to Congress.

Contribute $3

There are far too many ties between the Democratic establishment and the corporations that oppose economic, social, racial, and environmental justice for the people. It’s insulting for Democrats like Sinema and Hassan to take money from the National Restaurant Association while it’s lobbying against raising the minimum wage.

And Senate Democrats voting against a living wage harms working people and fuels economic inequality. Justice Democrats in Congress and running for office have a fierce commitment to fighting for the working people that all Democrats should be fighting for. But corporate Democrats continue to disappoint Democratic voters and working people.

We’re working to transform the Democratic Party and elect progressives who don’t take money from corporate interests. Chip in $3 or more now to help us elect working-class progressives to Congress.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
