Friend,
Today, on the 51st anniversary of Earth Day, we find ourselves at a defining moment in the fight against climate change. We've continued to experience record temperatures and seen an increase in storms and destructive natural events. The scientific community has warned us that time is quickly running out to reverse the long-term effects of climate change.
President Biden is trying to get our climate policy back on track after four disastrous years of an anti-science administration. He's moved to re-enter the U.S. into the Paris Climate Agreement, he's proposing a massive green infrastructure plan, and right now he's hosting a summit with dozens of world leaders aimed at addressing climate change.
Jennifer wants to help the Biden administration enact bold policies to preserve our planet and natural resources for future generations. And if we’re going to act, we need to get as many citizens involved as possible.
Your voice matters to her. Can you take a minute to fill out our survey and tell Jennifer your thoughts on how we can stop climate change?
Jennifer has always fought for renewable energy and responsible stewardship. When she was in the State Senate, she sponsored legislation that would expand consumers’ access to community solar energy, mandate quicker reporting on hazardous spills in Virginia waterways, and broaden the powers of the Department of Environmental Quality to go after polluters.
She’s brought these principles to Congress, and fought hard against the climate denialism that came out of the Trump administration. Now, she hopes that we can use this moment -- with a new White House and Congress -- to finally take action.
She can’t win this fight alone, and that’s why your voice is so important. Please take our survey here:
