Friend,
Earth Day may only
come around once a year, but our fight for a healthier, greener, and
more sustainable planet never stops.
It didn’t stop when Donald Trump
appointed a climate change denier, then a coal lobbyist, to head up
the EPA; it didn’t stop when Donald Trump backed out of the Paris
Climate Agreement; it didn’t stop when Donald Trump tried rolling back
California’s auto emissions standards; it didn’t stop when he opened
up our lands to oil and gas drilling.
We may have defeated
Donald Trump, but that doesn’t mean that we’ve won the fight against
climate change. Will
you donate today so that I can continue working to save our
environment and protect our
future?

Climate change remains an existential
threat to our nation, and nowhere is that more evident than in
California. Wildfires, droughts, rising sea levels, pollution, habitat
destruction -- the list goes on, with each challenge requiring a
full-scale solution. That’s why I’m proud to have led on issues of
environmental protection and animal welfare in Congress, including
supporting a Green New Deal, and why I’m asking for your help today.
This
moment is bigger than you or me, but together, we can rise to meet it
with the courage, urgency, and determination that’s required of us
this Earth Day and every day.
Can I count on you to join
me?
Best, Ted
