Hi John,

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene hoped to promote “uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions” in Congress with her “America First Caucus.”

The project was shut down within 24 hours, but not before a number of Republicans had the chance to express their full support. Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, Alabama Rep. Barry Moore, Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar, and Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert were “proud” to join a movement that called for a return to the “progeny of European architecture” and protected “white culture” in Washington.

For years, we've seen Republicans operate behind thinly-veiled racism. But now that they've incited a Capitol insurrection and befriended right-wing militia groups without losing supporters, they're getting comfortable expressing their white supremacist views aloud.

If we reward these white supremacist representatives with another term in office instead of holding them accountable, if we allow the Party of White Supremacy to take back control of the legislature next year, if we look the other way while the GOP attacks communities of color, we will be complicit in the destruction of our democracy.

Every American should be outraged that this caucus was even proposed.

John, dismantling white supremacy means unseating Matt Gaetz, Barry Moore, Paul Gosar, Louie Gohmert, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and every “America First” Republican in Congress -- and we hope you'll join us in our work to replace every nativist in congress with a bold progressive woman ready to uplift others, not tear them down.

The “America First Caucus” is not who we are, John. Thank you for helping us show the rest of the world.
