Dear Free Software Supporter,
The Free Software Foundation's (FSF) Licensing and Compliance Lab has
released the program for the continuing legal education (CLE) [seminar
on GPL Enforcement and Legal Ethics][1], which will be held on
Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at the Raleigh Convention Center in North
Carolina.

In addition to the many other outstanding experts and respected
leaders in the free software community, we have added a session from
Pamela Chestek, JD, principal of Chestek Legal, who practices in
trademark, copyright, free software, advertising, and marketing
law. This brings the potential CLE credits (approval pending) of the
full day seminar to five informative sessions.
We have posted [the biographies][2] of all our speakers on the [event
page][1], as well as [*Copyleft and the GNU General Public License: A
Comprehensive Tutorial and Guide*][3], in anticipation of the rest of
the session materials.

The FSF relies on community support to organize these
events. Sponsoring the CLE is a unique opportunity to demonstrate
leadership and commitment to free software to peers, collaborators,
experts in the field, potential employees, and contributors to
projects that your firm uses. And, most importantly, your sponsorship
will help provide clarity and certainty around the commercial use of
copyleft. For information on how your company can sponsor the CLE
seminar, please contact <

Kind regards,
Zoë Kooyman
Program Manager
