Today is Earth Day. But we can’t take any time off fighting for the future of our planet.

Today, the Biden Administration announced bold new climate goals for the country, including cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030. This is just another example of how Democrats tackle tough problems head on when we put them in charge.

Maine’s Climate Action Plan accelerates Maine’s transition to electric vehicles, transitions to cleaner heating and cooling systems, ensures that 80% of Maine’s energy usage comes from renewable generation by 2030, and establishes an Equity subcommittee of the Maine Climate Council to ensure that programs and benefits reach diverse populations and communities.
