National School Nurse Day was established to foster a better understanding of the role of school nurses in the educational setting. This year, building on the increased visibility of nurses' contributions, National Nurses' Week has been expanded to Nurses' Month in May. School Nurse Day is May 12, 2021. ANF wants to learn what you’re hearing from staff, families, and your community and the questions they’re asking about the vaccines. Your participation in this brief ANF COVID-19 Vaccine Survey will help them better understand the most common questions and concerns related to the COVID-19 vaccines. ANF will use the responses to develop relevant tools and resources. Tobacco Education Resources for Parents and Teachers The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) collaborated to develop a video series featuring pediatricians answering common questions about youth e-cigarette use. FDA also created a new webpage that includes tobacco education resources for parents and educators. Parents and teachers can use these resources to learn more and to start an honest conversation with youth about the dangers of tobacco use. Learn more. Apply for a STOP THE BLEED® Training Kit Grant The National STOP THE BLEED® Day Project is a call to action designed to provide everyone with easy access to resources to get trained, get STOP THE BLEED® equipment or to get involved in one of the largest public health campaigns in our country. The STOP THE BLEED® Training Kit Grant program provides Training Kits suitable to be used to teach the course. Grantees will receive one STOP THE BLEED® Training Kit, delivered to their location, free of charge, a $1,000+ value.
