Today is Earth Day -- and in Illinois and all across the nation, people are recommitting themselves to the fight to protect our planet for future generations and tackle the climate crisis.

I am working in the Senate to advance critical legislation and spur much-needed action.

Last month, I introduced a bill that would give Americans the chance to buy bonds in order to fund the fight against climate change -- a challenge with similar urgency to our future as WWII.

I’m also pushing for a clean climate future with a tax on carbon and a clean energy workforce.
