Right now, in North Carolina and across our country, our communities are facing bigger challenges than ever before.

We can't afford more of the same — this moment calls for something different because our survival depends on it. It calls for policy, not platitudes.

For too long, policy has centered profits at the expense of people and corporations at the expense of workers. All the while, our communities remain unseen, and their cries, unheard.

When I get to Washington, I'm taking all of us with me. I'll fight for policies that combat income inequality, racial injustice, the climate crisis, and so much more.

You'll hear more in the coming weeks about each of my priorities, but here's just a preview of our transformative agenda:

* Medicare for All: Reform is not enough. We deserve a healthcare system that prioritizes people over profits. We need Medicare for All.
* Green New Deal: The climate crisis is already here, and worsening storms and floods are claiming lives and livelihoods. By passing the Green New Deal, we can combat climate change and create millions of good-paying jobs at the same time.
* Universal Broadband: It's time to treat broadband as the public utility it is. In too many communities, including my own, access to broadband internet is still not a reality. Universal broadband would put an end to this inequity and ensure equal access for all.
* Racial Justice: From ending the War on Drugs and reimagining public safety to creating generational prosperity by investing in Black communities with reparations, we can legislate justice.
* The Dignity of Work: The minimum wage needs to be a living wage, and $15 is the floor, not the ceiling. I will strengthen overtime pay protections and ensure paid family leave is guaranteed.

This is OUR platform. This is OUR movement. But I can't do it without you. It's going to take a massive grassroots movement to make this real, meaningful change a reality.
