Friend,
2020 was a year of change and uncertainty — a global pandemic, worldwide social justice movements, a new U.S. presidency — but one thing has not changed: The Trevor Project has continued to support LGBTQ youth in crisis, 24/7 and for free.
I’m proud to share with you the momentous innovations and accomplishments The Trevor Project was able to achieve during this transformational year. I hope you can see the ways in which your support ensures we can continue this life-saving work.

** A few highlights:

* We acted quickly to transition our physical call centers to completely remote operations for the first time in our 23-year history.
* Trevor’s Advocacy team worked to protect LGBTQ youth from harmful legislation aimed at blocking best practice medical care, participation in school sports, and use of pronouns for transgender and nonbinary youth.

* Our research, with a focus on those with marginalized and intersectional identities, led the conversation in the fields of suicidology and LGBTQ youth mental health.
* Over the past three years, The Trevor Project has directly served 50% more crisis contacts year-over-year.
* With the generous support of our community of donors and partners, we continue to invest and scale our key programs to make an even greater impact.
Our growth would not be possible without you, and I hope you’re able to see the impact you’ve had in shaping this work to serve the more than 1.8 million LGBTQ young people who seriously consider suicide in the U.S. each year.
With gratitude,
Amanda Ryan-Smith
