LANSING — In 2017, the U.S. House member from Michigan who raised the most money from the beginning of April through the end of June collected $360,342. Over the same time period in 2019, three U.S. House members from Michigan raised more than that total.

Two of them doubled it.

On Monday, incumbents serving in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate and candidates for the U.S. House and U.S. Senate had to file new disclosures on their fundraising. The Michigan Campaign Finance Network has been digging into those reports, finding, among other things, that the 14 lawmakers who represent Michigan in the U.S. House combined to raise $4.1 million over the three-month period.

To read our new report on the disclosures, follow this link. We've also created a spreadsheet that breaks the numbers down and includes information on how much lawmakers have raised from individuals, large donors and political action committees.
