I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself.

My name is Zoe Lofgren — I am a Member of Congress from California, representing a district based in the “Capital of Silicon Valley”, San Jose, and encompassing parts of Santa Clara County stretching towards Morgan Hill and Gilroy to the south. The district I represent is rich in culture — with its residents speaking nearly 60 different languages — and has the distinction of having the largest Hispanic population of any district in the Bay Area and the largest concentration of Vietnamese Americans in the country.

I also serve as Chair of the California Democratic Congressional Delegation — a position I was elected to by my colleagues. Democrats hold 42 out of California’s 53 congressional districts — making us the largest congressional delegation in the House Democratic Caucus.

I have a long track record of fighting for progress on immigration, workers’ rights, health care, technology, transportation, voting rights, and women’s issues — and I am excited to continue my work in Congress.
